Ruby Mist has struck gold – and we can’t think of a better way to mark the start of the Christmas season. At this month’s annual World Cheese Awards in Bern, Switzerland, our freshly updated recipe stood out among 5,244 cheeses from more than 40 countries, earning a coveted gold medal.
So what makes Ruby Mist special? This year, our expert cheesemakers have taken a much-loved classic and infused it with Graham’s Late Bottled Vintage Port. Crafted in the Douro Valley and aged for five years in seasoned wooden casks, Graham’s LBV brings rich fruit and complexity to our creamy mature Cheddar. It’s then finished with a dash of French brandy for a warming glow. The result is silky, fruity and wonderfully decadent – everything you want from a winter cheese.
